Privacy Policy
We collect only what trucks need to quote your event. Our team and up to three matched trucks see it, we never sell it, and we delete it when you ask.
What we collect
When you request quotes, we collect what you type into the form:
- Event details: event type, date, serving time, city, ZIP code, venue type, headcount, who pays, budget, parking, power, food preferences and any notes.
- Contact details: your name, email and phone number.
- Your consent to be contacted by up to three trucks about your request.
When a truck applies to join, we collect its business name, contact name, email, phone, city, cuisines, minimum spend, website and Instagram handle.
We also record a few technical details with each request: the page you came from, campaign tags in the link you clicked, the referring website, a general browser type, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We use these to stop spam and to understand which pages help people. We don't store your raw IP address.
Who sees it
- Our matcher, a person on our team who reviews your request and chooses trucks.
- Up to three trucks we match with your request. They see your event details and contact details so they can quote you.
- Service providers that host this site and deliver our email, only as needed to run the service.
We never sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How we use it
We use your details to match your request, pass it to trucks, follow up about your event, and improve the service. We don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.
How long we keep it
We keep requests while they're useful for running the service. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Deleting your data
Email hello@thegoodeatsguide.com and tell us the email address you used. We'll delete your request from our records and confirm when it's done. Trucks you were matched with keep their own records of any conversation you had with them, so contact them directly too.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
