Finca is a tribute to Spain’s vibrant food, culture, wine, and gin-and-tonic traditions, brought to life in two distinct Salt Lake City locations. The flagship restaurant, tucked into the charming 15th and 15th neighborhood, offers an intimate dining experience within a quaint European-style cottage. With its cozy indoor seating and a stunning outdoor patio ideal for warmer months, the space feels more like dining in your grandmother’s home—if she happened to be a culinary genius.

For those seeking a more exclusive atmosphere, Finca’s 21-and-over location on Regent Street delivers a sophisticated twist on Spanish dining, blending refined elegance with a warm, welcoming vibe.

At its heart, Finca is a love letter to Spain’s diverse culinary heritage. The menu draws inspiration from the country’s many regions, featuring tapas and plates crafted with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. Signature dishes like the Torta de Setas (sautéed mushrooms on toast) and Patatas Bravas (crispy potatoes with sauce) highlight Finca’s dedication to authentic Spanish flavors.

Though the plates are small, even by tapas standards, the emphasis on seasonal ingredients ensures each bite is fresh and intentional. The menu invites guests to order an array of dishes to share, with multiple rounds arriving at a leisurely pace throughout the evening—transforming the meal into a dynamic, communal experience that celebrates the essence of Spanish dining.

A thoughtfully curated wine list enhances the cuisine, showcasing distinctive Spanish and Portuguese selections with a focus on natural wines from small, artisan producers. Finca’s beverage program elevates the dining experience, and we were particularly impressed by their extensive selection of Tempranillo. Our server kindly offered several samples to help us find the perfect pairing for our shared meal, a gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. Adding yet another layer to the menu, their dedication to Spanish gin-and-tonic culture shines through a selection of vibrant, aromatic cocktails that pay homage to this cherished tradition.

It is evident that owner Scott Evans brings a personal connection to every aspect of Finca. After falling in love with Spanish food, wine, and culture during his travels, he envisioned sharing that passion with his hometown of Salt Lake City, and he has truly done just that. A seasoned sommelier, Evans’s expertise is evident in the rotating wine list, which features hand-selected, intriguing options from Spain’s many regions. Following a brief two-year hiatus, Finca reopened in its new 15th & 15th location with the same dedication to scratch-made Spanish dishes, local sourcing, and seasonality.

Finca is open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and offers dine-in and takeout options. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through its official website or by calling (801) 532-3372.

For a casual yet authentic taste of Spain, Finca offers an inviting escape into the flavors and culture of a cherished culinary tradition right in the heart of Salt Lake City.
