# Free Catering Leads for Food Trucks

The Foodtruck List sends food truck owners in Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles free catering leads during our pilot. Each lead goes to no more than three trucks, and you quote the host directly. No commission, no lead fees, no subscription.

## What the pilot offers

We're a small team building a better way for hosts to book food trucks. Hosts send us one request. A real person on our team reads it and sends it to up to three trucks that fit. You quote the host directly, set your own prices and terms, and keep 100% of what you earn.

During the pilot, it's free for trucks in Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

## What every lead includes

Vague inquiries waste your time. Our form asks hosts for the details operators say they need before quoting:

- **Event type and date**, plus the serving window (breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night)
- **Headcount of people eating**, not just invitations sent
- **Budget**, per person or total, and **who pays**: the host, or guests buying their own
- **Location**: city, ZIP code and venue type, such as a private home, office lot, park or event venue
- **Parking**: whether there's a flat spot for a truck
- **Power**: whether an outlet is nearby
- **Cuisine preferences** and any notes on dietary needs, timing or access
- **Host contact details**, shared with their consent

We also check each request before it goes out. We look at budget, headcount, lead time and parking, so you're not chasing a party of 12 on two days' notice.

## What we ask of trucks

- **Respond within 24 hours.** Send a quote, ask a question, or tell us you'll pass. Hosts book with whoever answers clearly and quickly.
- **Quote honestly.** Include your minimum, travel charges, service time, deposit and cancellation terms up front. No surprises on the invoice.
- **Show you can operate.** Keep your licenses and liability insurance current, and share proof when a host asks.
- **Tell us how it went.** A quick note when a lead books or falls through helps us send you better ones.

## How to join

1. **Apply below.** Share your business name, contact details, city, cuisines, typical minimum spend, and your website or Instagram.
2. **We review your application.** We look at your menu, your catering experience and where you operate.
3. **Start getting leads.** Once you're approved, matching requests arrive by email with everything listed above.

Your minimum spend matters. We use it to send you leads that fit, so a $2,000-minimum truck isn't matched to a $700 birthday party.

Right now we're matching in Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. If you're in another city, apply anyway. We'll let you know when we open near you.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does it cost to join?

Nothing during the pilot. We don't take a commission, charge per lead or sell a subscription. If that ever changes, we'll tell you before anything applies, and you can leave at any time.

### How many trucks get each lead?

Up to three. We keep it small so every truck has a real chance at the booking.

### Do I have to quote every lead you send?

No. If a date or event doesn't work, just tell us within 24 hours so we can offer it to another truck.
